Participation
The Dutch Law states, that school boards need to organize participation in their school.
In the past the SCS used to have a medezeggenschapsraad which consisted out of the staff (teaching and non-teaching), parents/guardians and the students, and the MR as such defended the interests of these groups.
Over the years we have not been able to have a functioning MR but we have organized participation via our staff meetings, parent body meetings as well as student body meetings.
As per 2020, the SCS has a School Advisory Council, consisting out of:

a school board representative
The principal (chair)
A representative of the MT
A representative of the Staff
Representatives of the (business) community (2)
Representatives of the student body (2)
Representative of the local government (2)

It is also very important to know what students think of their school and the education they receive. Every form has a representative in the student body and sits down regularly with the principal. Every form is represented in this meeting.
